Total Sports respects intellectual-property rights and expects contributors and visitors to do the same.
Ownership of Total Sports Content
Unless otherwise stated, original text, page design, branding, compilations and editorial material created for Total Sports are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual-property laws.
Content may not be reproduced, republished, scraped, sold, redistributed or presented as another publisher’s work without permission.
Brief quotations may be used where legally permitted, provided that:
- The quotation is limited and proportionate
- The source is clearly credited
- A link to the relevant Total Sports page is included where practical
- The use does not replace the original article
- The use is not misleading
Third-Party Material
Football club names, competition names, photographs, logos, video material, broadcast marks and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners.
Such material may appear for identification, commentary, reporting, criticism or other lawful editorial purposes. Its appearance does not transfer ownership to Total Sports.
Copyright Complaints
A copyright owner or authorised representative may request investigation of material believed to infringe their rights.
A complete complaint should include:
- The name and contact details of the complainant.
- Identification of the protected work.
- The exact Total Sports URL containing the disputed material.
- A clear description of the material concerned.
- An explanation of why the use is believed to be unauthorised.
- Evidence that the complainant owns the work or is authorised to act for its owner.
- A good-faith statement that the information provided is accurate.
- A typed or electronic signature.

Review Process
After receiving a sufficiently detailed complaint, we may:
- Request additional information
- Temporarily restrict access to disputed material
- Correct attribution
- Replace or remove material
- Reject a complaint that is incomplete, mistaken or unsupported
- Contact the contributor or source of the material
Submission of a complaint does not guarantee removal.
Misrepresentation
A person who knowingly submits a false, fraudulent or misleading copyright complaint may be responsible for resulting losses, expenses or other consequences.
Counter-Information
Where material is removed following a complaint, the affected contributor may provide evidence that:
- They own the material
- They have permission to use it
- The material was incorrectly identified
- The use is otherwise legally permitted
We may restore material where the complaint is withdrawn, resolved or shown to be mistaken.
Repeat Infringement
We may restrict or discontinue contributions from persons who repeatedly submit infringing material.
No Legal Determination
Total Sports may make practical moderation decisions regarding content hosted on its website. Such decisions do not constitute a final legal determination regarding ownership, infringement or fair use.
